....this and that..what do you expect for a Monday

Last night was a great night at the First Baptist Church of Largo. The spirit was felt by all..it was a little extra ordinary for some reason. Providence thanks Pastor Mark for his genuine sense of praise towards the group. Also a thanks goes to Phil Shepard, a very special friend to Providence for his extraoridinary piano playing and as an added feature to the group's music...thanks Phil.

Hey, I just talk to the Mona, Jimmy Blackwood's wife and we have booked the Blackwood Brothers, along with Providence in a concert for Saturday night, Feb 11.....we will announce the location in the next week, but we know it will be in the Clearwater area. You won't want to miss this one....wow! This is the REAL (ha!) Blackwood Brothers, with Jimmy, James' son heading up the group ....more later!

Providence goes contemporary....

We thought we would share with everyone, Providence's new look. We just felt to be "with-it", it was time for a different fashion statement.

Makes us look younger....don't you think?

...the Lighthouse

It was a great weekend for Providence at the Lighthouse Baptist Church in Punta Gorda, Fl. Providence help celebrate the church's 21st anniversary with all-weekend festivals . Saturday fesstivals began at 4:00 until 8:00 with plenty of food, activities, and singing. Of course Sunday was a day of worship and praise for what God had done for them through the years. Providence performed 7 times throughout the celebrations.....whew!... As you can see in the pictures Darren and Ron are getting their rest after stuffing themselves, and Bruce is still washing his down....it takes him a little longer, you know!

We want to thank the wonderful people at the Lighthouse for their gracious hospitality.......the fruit baskets sure came in handy on the way home.

Now in this picture, the Indian is Ron's dad....and I think Bruce is telling him some cowboy and indian stories from back in the "good-ole-days"

See the "whole" cake on the table......well, we decided we needed a cake....so we bought 7 tickets for the cakewalk ... 7 filled every spot , therefore we were assured of winning.....I don't think that is cheating, is it? It was Darren's idea!......now we are just waiting on some forks and knives to tear into it!
In fact forget the knives just give us some forks....
